Kyoto – Japan’s ancient capital
Oct. 30, Mon. ARRIVE OSAKA/KANSAI – KYOTO
On arrival to Osaka, you will go through immigration and customs. Your English-speaking guide will be waiting for you in the Arrival Lobby and then you will be transferred to Kyoto.
Oct. 31, Tue. KYOTO
Full day sightseeing in Kyoto, Visiting Kiyomizu, Temple, one of the most famous temples in Kyoto and designated a National Treasure. You will also visit the Gion Area, known as the Geisha district. Then you will visit the stunning Kinkakuji Temple (Golden Pavilion). (B)
Nov. 1, Wed. KYOTO
Full day at leisure. Should you need ideas for the day, your guide will be available with suggestions. This evening a special shabu shabu dinner is included. (B, D)
Central Japan area – Nagoya and Ise
Nov. 2, Thu. KYOTO – ISE
This morning you will travel by chartered coach to Ise, in Mie prefecture. On arrival you will visit Ise Jingu, a massive Shinto Shrine, not one shrine, but a complex of 125 shrines. The 2 major shrines are the inner shrine, Naiku and outer shrine, Geku. You will have time to browse the Okage Yokocho shopping street. (B, D)
Nov. 3, Fri. ISE – NABANA – NAGOYA
Today you will travel by chartered coach to Nagoya. En route, you will visit Nabana no Sato, a popular flower themed park (B)

Nov. 4, Sat. NAGOYA
Your full day tour includes visiting the Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry, which introduces the history of Japanese manufacturing technology from textiles to automobile engineering. Then you will visit Kirin Beer Park, where you can watch the process of manufacturing beer and other beverages. You will also be able to sample their products. (B, L)
Sendai, the City of Trees
Nov. 5, Sun. NAGOYA – SENDAI
This morning you will be transferred to Chubu Centrair International Airport for your flight to Sendai Airport. On arrival you will visit Aoba Castle in Sendai. (B)
Nov. 6, Mon. SENDAI
Today you will travel by chartered coach to Ichinoseki to visit Chusonji Temple and Motsuji Temple. Then continue to Matsushima, famous for its bay, dotted with pine clad islets and ranked one of Japan’s three most scenic views. (B)
Visit the lavishly decorated Toshogu Shrine
Nov. 7, Tue. SENDAI – NIKKO
This morning you will travel by chartered coach to Nikko, a small city in Japan’s Tochigi Prefecture. You will visit the lavishly decorated Toshogu Shrine and mausoleum of Tokugawa Ieyasu (founder of the Tokugawa Shogunate). A stop will also be made at Kegon Waterfall, the most famous of Nikko’s many beautiful waterfalls. (B, D)

Nov. 8, Wed. NIKKO – TOKYO
Today your chartered coach will take you to Tokyo. En route you will visit the Mashiko Pottery Cooperative for locally produced handicrafts. (B)

Your tour today will include the Imperial Palace Plaza, Asakusa Temple and the bustling Nakamise shopping arcade and Meiji Jingu Shrine, dedicated to Emperor Meiji and Empress Shokan. Special teppan-yaki lunch in Ginza, included. (B, L)

Today is free for independent activities. Optional tours are available and your guide will be available for suggestions. This evening is your Farewell Dinner at the hotel. (B, D)

Morning free for last minute sightseeing or shopping. Transfer will be provided to Narita International Airport for your non-stop flight back to Los Angeles. (B)
